The research coordinated by this Department covers a wide range of issues, focusing on the effects of regulation and practice on the economy and on society. The research focus prioritizes implementing interdisciplinary approaches like the economic analysis of law, human rights and private law, as well as research in the fields of legal theory, comparative law, consumer protection, commercial law and civil, criminal and administrative procedure. The Department is also involved with providing support for the preparatory work on the new Hungarian civil procedural law, as well as studying the impacts and supporting the implementation of the new civil code in practice.
